Satan blows into the nostrils?

 Satan blows into the nostrils?

Makki narrated to us, Al-Ja`id narrated to us, on the authority of Yazid bin Khusayfah, on the authority of As-Sa’ib bin Yazid, that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said, “O Aisha, do you know this one?” She said, “No, O Prophet of Allah.” He said, “This is the singing girl of the Banu So-and-so. Would you like her to sing to you?” She said, “Yes.” He said, “So he gave her a plate and she sang to it. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Satan has blown into her nostrils.”

was stated in “The Biography of Sayyida Aisha, Mother of the Believers” (p. 86):

“A woman came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: ‘ O Aisha, do you know this one?’ She said: ‘No, O Prophet of God.’ He said: ‘This is the singing girl of the Banu So-and-so. Would you like her to sing to you?’ She said: ‘Yes.’ So he gave her a plate, and she sang to her. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: ‘The devil has blown into her nostrils. ’” (4) This means that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, disliked such songs .
____
(4) Narrated by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad 3/449, the hadith of Al-Sa’ib bin Yazid. Al-Haythami said in Majma’ Al-Zawa’id 8/130: It was narrated by Ahmad and Al-Tabarani, and the men of Ahmad are the men of Sahih. It was narrated by Al-Tabarani in Al-Mu’jam Al-Kabir 8/158, No. 6686.

Some have interpreted his statement,  “The devil has blown into her nostrils,” as praising and commending her singing and her activity in singing.

The author of the book, “Shama’il al-Habib al-Mustafa” (p. 181) says:

“The devil has blown into her nostrils: it is a compliment to her that she is good at singing

It is stated in “Al-Fath al-Rabbani li-Tarteebi Musnad al-Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal al-Shaibani” (17/232):

“(On the authority of al-Sa’ib ibn Yazid) that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said, ‘O Aisha, do you know this one?’ She said, ‘No, O Prophet of Allah.’ He said, ‘This is the singer of the Banu so-and-so. Do you want her to sing to you?’ She said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘So he gave her a plate and she sang to it.’ The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘The devil has blown into her nostrils (4)’”
_________
(4) Its meaning, and Allah knows best is that the devil has made singing seem attractive to her, so she indulged in it with activity and without boredom . It came in To be continued with the full response.
