An angel from heaven appeared to him to strengthen him.

An angel from heaven appeared to him to strengthen him.

Luke's Gospel states the following:

Luke 22:41: And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed
. Luke 22:42: "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me . Nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done."
Luke 22:43: And an angel appeared to him from heaven , strengthening him . Luke 22:44: And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground.

Comment :
First:
Christ prays to the Father. What does this mean?
Second:
Christ asks the Father if it is possible to exempt him from this fate. This means that:
1. Christ does not want this fate for himself, and the defense that it is the humanity that wants (to cancel the process) but the divinity is united with the Father in his will, is not valid unless Christ has two separate natures, and this is heresy according to the Coptic Church.
2 This means that Christ is less important than the Father and is not equal to Him in status.
3 Christ proves the difference in will between Him and the Father.

Third:
Why did an angel appear to Him to strengthen Him?
Does God lack strength?
Even if the appearance of an angel from heaven to encourage Him in this ordeal would benefit Him, assuming that the angel came to confirm the humanity, what is the benefit of the divinity united with Him?
Is it not enough for Him that the humanity is united with the divinity? By God, if this were true, the angel would have been ashamed to strengthen Him , knowing who He was united with.

St-Takla.org’s interpretation of the subject of the angel:
Verse (43): “And an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.” An angel appeared to Him from heaven , strengthening Him . There were angels praising Him on the day of the birth, and they preached to the shepherds, and they came forward to serve the Lord after the temptation of the devil (Matthew 4:11). Angels preached to the women after the resurrection, and angels appeared to the disciples after the ascension. This is what led some to imagine that there were angels appointed to serve the Lord at the time of his incarnation. If angels serve humans, would they not serve the King of kings? (Hebrews 1:14). Thus, everyone who prays finds help from heaven, as angels serve humans in love. It is said that the angel who appeared to Christ said to him, “Yours is the power, Lord, Yours is the glory, Yours is the dominion.” This is what the Church praises during Holy Week. Perhaps when the angel saw the Lord in his sufferings in the garden, he came forward to strengthen him, just as Peter tried to strike the servant of the high priest to help Christ. However, Christ most likely did not need the angel’s help and certainly did not need Peter’s sword. It is as if the angel who came to the Lord to strengthen him wanted to say to him, even if humans rise up against you and do not know you, we know who you are. We love you even if they do not love you. We know the greatness of your glory even if humans do not know it.

The angel came to the master to strengthen him!!
Can a creature increase the power of the Creator???!!! Can we
even increase the power of the Creator? Yes? Do we believe that the nucleus supports the jug?
Please answer this question firmly.

Fourth:
Blood came out of him instead of sweat due to the severity of the psychological pressures he suffered.
But this is not in favor of Christ because the more a person is steadfast under psychological pressures, the more this is an honor for him and his personality, and the more he is overcome by anxiety to the point that he sweats blood (and this is a rare case that may occur under severe psychological pressure), the more this is a defect in the right of its owner.
Then what was the fate that Christ was facing? Crucifixion? Death? Many have faced death with amazing steadfastness and did not waver for the sake of their principles, so how could a person of the stature of Christ?

Here we mention an amazing example:
the noble companion Khabib bin Adi. I wish the Christians would read his biography. The polytheists of the Arabs also crucified him, so what did he say while he was crucified before they shot him with arrows?
Did he say, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” No, but he recited, saying:

I do not care when I kill a Muslim, on which side I die in the cause of God,

and that is in the cause of God, and if He wills, He blesses the limbs of a torn limb.

Compare the two positions and decide who is braver, (Christ was not crucified)
, especially if we know that Christ knew that he would rise from the dead victorious, as they claim.
