Like you, Moses
In the name of God, the Most
Gracious, the Most Merciful . It is stated in the Old Testament in the Book of Deuteronomy - Chapter 18 - Verse 18 to Verse 22:
18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brethren, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whoever does not listen to My words which he speaks in My name, I will require them.
20 But the prophet who presumes to speak in My name a word which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.
21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How can we know a word which the Lord has not spoken?’
22 And what the prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, and it does not take place or come to pass, that is the word which the Lord has not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.
And as it is clear that this prophet will be like Moses ( from among their brothers like you )
both Jews and Christians agree that this is the awaited prophet ( the Messiah as they call him)
Muslims say that he is Muhammad, peace be upon him, and Christians insist that he is Jesus, son of Mary
, but... what does it mean that he is like Moses (is he like him in his appearance, lineage, knowledge, strength, or what... what is meant by likening him to Moses?
If we notice that it is possible for some of the prophets from the children of Israel to be similar to Moses in some aspects, but the only thing in which they were not and will not be similar to Moses is the following:
- Moses and his people do not know about God except what they have transmitted from Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes... but the rulings of the law and the method did not exist until after the Torah was revealed to Moses (the knowledge of the Book)... Moses did not have the knowledge of the Book and God revealed it to him while he was in this state .
- Muhammad and his people do not know about God except what they have transmitted from Abraham And Ismail, with the introduction of idolatry into this religion... But the rulings of the Sharia and the methodology were not until after the Qur’an was revealed to Muhammad (the knowledge of the Book) - (Indeed, to Allah belongs the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him - We do not worship them except that they may bring us nearer to Allah. Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and a disbeliever (3))
So Muhammad did not have the knowledge of the Book, and Allah revealed it to him while he was in this state. ( Like Moses ) - ( And thus We have revealed to you a spirit of Our command. You did not know what the Book was, nor what faith was, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, you guide to a straight path. (52))
As for Jesus, son of Mary, he was not and will not be like Moses, because he was born and raised among his people who already had knowledge of the Book, the Sharia, and the methodology, and he also already had this knowledge - “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. “I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.” ( Matthew 5:17 ).
Indeed, Muhammad was given a new law (Islamic law) - as was actually expected of him, as stated in the Book of Isaiah - Chapter 42 in its entirety - (This chapter is known to Jews and Christians as being about the awaited prophet << the Messiah >>. The following is the text of this chapter (note what is underlined):
1 “Behold, my servant , whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit upon him, and he shall bring forth justice to the nations.
2 He shall not cry out, nor lift up his voice, nor make his voice heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a dying wick he will not quench; he will bring out justice to safety.
4 He will not faint or be discouraged, until he has established justice in the earth, and the islands will wait for his law .
5 Thus says the Lord God, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and its offshoots, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who dwell in it:
6 “I, the Lord, have called you, In righteousness, I will take you by the hand and keep you, and I will make you a covenant for the people, and a light for the Gentiles,
7 to open the eyes of the blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
8 “I am the Lord, that is my name; and my glory I will not give to another, nor my praise to graven images .
9 Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring up I will make them known to you.
10 Sing to the LORD a new song , His praise from the end of the earth, You who go down to the sea and all that is therein, You islands and their inhabitants!
11 Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the towns that Kedar inhabited, Let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy! 12 Let them shout for joy from the tops of the mountains ,
13 Let them give glory to the LORD, And declare his praise in the isles.
13 The LORD goes out like a mighty warrior; He stirs up his zeal like a man of war; He shouts and cries out, And prevails against his enemies.
14 “I have been silent from of old; I am still; I am strong; I cry out like a woman in labor; I puff and groan together.
15 I will destroy the mountains and the hills, and dry up all their grass; I will turn the rivers into dry land, and dry up the marshes
.I will also lead the blind by a way they do not know; I will make them walk by paths they do not know. I will make darkness light before them, and make crooked places straight. These things will I do, and I will not forsake them.
17 They are turned back; they will be utterly put to shame who trust in graven images, who say to the molten images, ‘You are our gods!’
18 “Hear, you who are deaf; you who are blind, look and see.
19 Who is blind but my servant ? And deaf as my messenger whom I will send? Who is blind as the sane one? And blind as the servant of the Lord?
20 He who sees often, and does not perceive; He who has open ears, and does not hear.”
21 The Lord is well pleased because of his righteousness; He will magnify the law
and honor it. 22 But this is a people plundered and spoiled; they are all snared in pits, and hide themselves in prison houses. They are a spoil, and none can rescue them; a plunder, and none can say, “Restore it.”
23 Who among you hears this? Will heed and listen to what is to come?
24 Who has given Jacob over to the spoil, and Israel to the plunderers? Is it not the Lord against whom we have sinned, and in whose ways they have not been willing to walk , and have not obeyed his law?
25
And he poured out on him the fierceness of his anger and the severity of the battle, and it set him on fire on every side, but he did not know it; and it burned him up, but he did not take it to heart. From the above, it is clear to us that Muhammad is indeed like Moses - and this only happened to Muhammad and Moses in reality - as for the rest of the similarities between Muhammad and Moses, there are many articles that have actually talked about this matter, but this point in particular is a dividing point.
O people of the Torah and the Gospel - consider this statement carefully - and may God guide us all to the truth and to what He loves and is pleased with.
In the end, if you have hit upon the truth, then it is by the grace of God Almighty alone.
Certainly Jesus is not the one meant by the gospel of Deuteronomy!!
Here is the proof, gentlemen!

If the crucified one is not the one meant??? Then who is the prophet/Messiah who gave the gospel in Deuteronomy!

Deuteronomy 18:18
I will raise them up a prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put my words in his mouth, and he will speak to them all that I command him.

No prophet like Moses, peace be upon him, has arisen from among the children of Israel!
Numbers that block the possibility of a prophet from the children of Israel, whether Joshua or Jesus or someone else:
Amplified Bible Translation:
Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face
Christian Standard Bible Translation:
No prophet has arisen again in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face
Contemporary English Version Translation:
There has never again been a prophet in Israel like Moses. The Lord spoke face to face with him
Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition Translation:
And there arose no more a prophet in Israel like unto Moses , whom the Lord knew face to face
Easy-to-Read Version Translation:
Israel never had another prophet like Moses : The Lord knew Moses face to face

Good News Translation
There has never been a prophet in Israel like Moses; the Lord spoke with him face-to-face
Christian Bible commentators - without blushing - declare it loud and clear!!!!
There arose not a prophet since . In whatever light we view this extraordinary man, the eulogy pronounced in these inspired words will appear just. No Hebrew prophet or ruler equalled him in character, official dignity , as well as knowledge of God
's will, and opportunities of announcing it. [/QUOTE] Source: Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible Deuteronomy 34

The speaker here is Jehovah, the same and identical Jesus of the New Testament.
How can it be falsely claimed that Jesus is the one meant by the gospel??? Will Jehovah inspire himself ?

Won’t the holy revelation turn into a monologue then???

To what extent does this part (and I will put My words in his mouth) apply to the final prophet, our master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace???

Let us hear the answer from the tongue of:
1- Metropolitan George Khodr, speaking with the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit:
Matthew 10:20
For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
2- Rabbi Tovia singer:
Malachi 2:7
For the lips of a priest shall preserve knowledge, and men shall seek the law from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
As we notice, both the Christian Metropolitan George Khodr and Rabbi Tuvia Singer - who belongs to one of the largest Jewish rabbinic schools - agreed on one word, which is that the Holy Quran is a sacred word and a divine revelation!
I wonder, is it impossible that the prophet prophesied in Deuteronomy 18:18 was from outside the children of Israel ???
The answer is from the mouth of Rabbi David Shlomo Rosen : who says: Judaism acknowledges explicitly or implicitly the existence of prophets from outside the Jewish race. As a Jewish rabbi, I acknowledge that Muhammad [ ] is the greatest gentile prophet !

May God bless and grant peace and blessings upon the final prophet, our master Muhammad, the one who was given glad tidings.
