Marriage of Angels and God in Christianity Genesis 1:6-4 says, “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of God, and they were born to them ...

 Genesis 1:6-4

says

, “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, ‘My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he is mortal; yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.’ There were giants on the earth in those days. And also afterward, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, these were the Nephilim, which were of old, men of renown.” There are many theories as to who the sons of God were and why they begot giants (also referred to as Nephilim).

The three views on this subject are as follows: (1) They were fallen angels; (2) They were powerful human giants; (3) They were men of God, the sons of Seth, who married the wicked sons of Cain. Considering the first point, we find that the Old Testament often refers to angels as sons of God (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7). But Matthew 22:30 indicates that angels do not marry. Nowhere in the Bible does it indicate that angels have a specific gender or are capable of procreation. Views (2) and (3) do not face the same dilemma.

The weakness of views (2) and (3) is that the marriage of ordinary humans does not explain why they produced giants or mighty men of renown. Moreover, God did not forbid the sons of Seth from marrying ordinary women or the daughters of Cain, so why did He send the flood upon the earth (Genesis 6:5-7). The only thing that could connect the two events and God’s wrath is the marriage of fallen angels to the daughters of men.

The weakness of view (1) is that Matthew 22:30 declares, “For in the resurrection they will neither marry nor be given in marriage, but will be like the angels of God in heaven.” However, this point can be argued against in the absence of the passage, for the passage does not say that “angels are unable to mate.” It merely states that angels do not mate. Second, Matthew 22:30 refers to “angels in heaven.” It does not refer to fallen angels, who do not care about God’s order and practice but rather seek to sabotage God’s plan. The fact that God’s holy angels do not mate or have sex does not mean that Satan and his demons do not.

I believe that view #1 is the most convincing. Yes, it is strange to say that angels do not have a gender and then say that the “sons of God” were fallen angels who fathered children with human daughters. However, while angels are spiritual beings (Hebrews 1:14), they can appear in physical human form (Mark 16:5). The men of Sodom and Gomorrah wanted to have sex with Lot’s angels (Genesis 19:1-5). It is plausible that angels are capable of taking on human form to the point of being able to reproduce. Why, one might ask, do the fallen angels not do this more often? Clearly, God punished the angels who committed this sin by imprisoning them as an example to other fallen angels (Jude 6). Many ancient Hebrew and other writings agree that the fallen angels are the “sons of God” mentioned in Genesis 6:1-4. This does not close the discussion on this topic. However, we must look at this passage from a linguistic and historical perspective.

According to one theory, the sons of Elohim are angels who came down to earth and had children by entering into the daughters of men.

This theory is perhaps supported by Jude 1:6 in the New Testament:

6 And the angels who did not keep their own principality, but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness until the judgment of the great day.
This theory is also the basis for several stories in the Book of Enoch.

According to another theory, they are the descendants of Seth, the pure line of Adam, while the daughters of men are the descendants of Cain, and this theory is in a spurious book (Adam and Eve's Conflict with Satan).

Angels marry women of the earth
. As Muslims, when we read a passage from the so-called holy book, we must read it several times in order to understand the meaning of this passage, along with reading the interpretations of it.
Genesis 6:2
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and took them wives. And afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore them children, these are the giants who were from the world.

What is this? What is meant? And who are the sons of God?

The story goes that when people began to multiply on earth at the beginning of creation, daughters were born to them and the daughters became more numerous than the men.. And since the church rejects the idea of polygamy and due to the large number of daughters, a very large gap occurred that almost threatened the continuity of humanity.. Therefore, the Lord (Jesus) found only one solution to solve this problem, which is the marriage of angels to human daughters. This resulted in the emergence of a new hybrid creature between angels and humans, which was called (the Titans).
Father Antonious Fikry said in his interpretation of Genesis, Chapter 6:
Sons of God = in Hebrew, sons of the gods, and in the Septuagint it came as “angels.”

Since the Old Testament is originally Hebrew, then the intended meaning of the sons of God are the angels.

Taking a clue from the Old Testament as an argument that we use to confirm the validity of our statements, we say that in the Book of Job it says that the sons of God are the angels, saying:

Job 1:6
And it came to pass on a day, when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them . The Contemporary English Version

says: The children of the supernatural beings who had married these women became famous heroes and warriors. They were called Nephilim and lived on the earth at that time and even later . Another translation says: The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also later. That was when the sons of God had sexual relations with the daughters of human beings . Some have said that the so-called Holy Book did not reveal much about God’s creatures. God created other creatures (supernatural) other than Adam and Eve, and these creatures were the ones whom God sent to marry the daughters of humans, which resulted in a hybrid between them, which is the Nephilim. Others said that the sons of God who married the daughters of men are the sons of Seth, son of Adam. This leads the church into a sexual catastrophe because it is known that the earth was crowded with girls and Seth had sons and daughters. And the fact that Seth’s sons were the ones who married the daughters of men means that some of Seth’s sons married his sister and thus it became an incestuous marriage. This is in addition to the fact that it is not reasonable that the number of Seth’s sons equals the number of people’s daughters. If there were a thousand families at that time and they had 800 daughters, did Seth have the ability to save 600 men from one woman? Thus I provide evidence from the Encyclopedia that proves that what is meant by the sons of God are the angels הָאֱלֹהִים, לְהִתְיַצֵּב עַל יְהוָה; וַיָּבוֹא גַם הַשָּׂטָן, בְּתוֹכָם. According to the interpretation of the text: מבני ביתה וכן ויריעו כל בני אלהים The sons of God are the angels close to the place of revelation ================== Before the flood there were Amalekites Genesis 6 4 There were tyrants on the earth in those days. And afterward also, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, these are the Nephilim, which of old were famous. All died in the flood. Genesis 7:21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both birds, and cattle, and wild beasts, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and all men. There were Amalekites there after the flood . Verse 13:33 And we saw there the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, Nephilim. And we were in our own eyes as locusts, and so we were in their eyes . It is clear that these marriages are still continuing despite their destruction in the flood. It is not surprising that we find in the New Testament what confirms the possibility of angels marrying humans, although they have no sexual distinction, and there is no male angel and female angel. We find in Matthew 22:30

“Because in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels of God in heaven.”

Father Tadros Yacoub Malaty’s interpretation states the following:

In eternal life we practice an angelic life, so there is no marriage. Here, Saint John Chrysostom draws our attention to the fact that it is not because they do not marry that they are angels, but because they are angels they do not marry. Therefore, our goal – even for monks – is to enjoy the angelic life, not non-marriage per se.

This means that the ability to marry exists in angels, but because they are angels, they are too high to marry - according to the interpreter -

he did not deny that angels have the ability to marry and he likened monks in their monasticism and their refusal to marry despite their ability, to angels.
The interpreter adds: And

Saint Jerome answers by saying: [When it is said: They do not marry, they do not marry, it appears that sexual distinction has ended.] [Truly they will be glorified and enjoy angelic sublimity, but despite this they remain human, so the Apostle Paul remains Paul and Mary remains Mary.] Once again in his speech against the followers of Jovanianus he says: [If the promise is for us to be like the angels, and there are no two distinct genders among the angels, then we will be without sexual distinction like the angels. In any case, when we rise from the dead we carry the gender that we have, but we do not practice the function of sex.]

So how do angels marry if they do not have sexual distinction??!!

A really confusing question!!
To solve this dilemma, one of the Christian websites says:
In Matthew 22:30 it refers to “the angels in heaven.” It does not refer to the fallen angels, who do not care about the divine order and its application, but on the contrary, they seek to ruin God’s plan. The fact that God's holy angels do not marry or have sex does not mean that this does not happen for fallen angels.

Let us not forget that in Christianity there are two types of angels: Cherubim, who are fiery
spirits like the jinn in Islam. The meaning of jinn is that they hide
and they are obligated to worship like us as humans. They have a law that governs them and they obey and disobey God by their own will, unlike the Islamic faith.
Among them is Satan, their leader, who believed that his splendor and the image of the essence of the Father in him were not from God the Father but from himself. He raised a throne to the Most High and said, "I will become like God." Satan fell because of his belief and a war broke out in heaven. The angel
fought Satan and his soldiers, the Seraphim angels, including Gabriel and Michael, according to the Christian faith. I do not know where God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are in this event, but let us continue. Michael said to Satan as he made him fall, "Who is like God?"
And Zahra, the daughter of the morning, the bright morning star, fel
