Mirza Qadiani’s plagiarism of many texts

           Today I am writing about one of the wonders that I came across while reading some of the writings of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, the founder of the Qadiani religion. I had previously spoken about the Ghulam’s theft of the ideas of Syed Ahmad Khan al-Hindi, and I and others have spoken, but without elaborating, about Mirza Qadiani’s plagiarism of many texts by previous writers, especially from the Maqamat of al-Hariri. It is no wonder that the issue of plagiarism arose during the time of Mirza Ghulam himself, as his stupidity and greed exposed him among the Persians before the Arabs. The Ghulam went too far in stealing from the writings of Arab writers to the point that it was very easy to catch him red-handed.

 

** The Qadiani god is a novice thief

 

God willing, in this article I will show some of Mirza’s plagiarisms of some texts and expressions of Arab writers. I will give examples from one book by the young man, which is the book “Hujjatullah”. But before that, I would like to remind you that Mirza claimed that he received his Arabic writings from his god Yalash through inspiration, and he also claimed that all his books were written with divine support.

 

((His Holiness the Promised Messiah (as) - Mirza Ghulam - said: “ All my writings in Arabic are inspired because I have written them with the special support of God. Sometimes I do not know the meaning of some words and paragraphs that I write until I look in the dictionary and then understand the meaning. ”) - Narration No. 104 in the book “Seerat al-Mahdi” written by the son of Mirza Ghulam, known as Qamar al-Anbiya.

 


          Mirza Ghulam says: “ And we have confirmed that all our books are about God, the Majestic .” - The Spiritual Treasures Collection, Part 18, The Miracle of Christ, p. 1.

 


** Al-Hariri cannot keep up with Mirza in eloquence!

 

          Mirza Qadiani used to challenge the sheikhs of Punjab to produce Arabic writings like his, and he claimed that Abu Muhammad al-Qasim al-Hariri and Badi' al-Zaman al-Hamadhani could not match his eloquence and rhetoric.

 

In 1901, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad al-Qadiani wrote with clear clumsiness the following: “ One of them was called ‘Mehr Ali’ and his companions claimed that he was the perfect sheikh and the clear saint. When I called him to this call after he claimed that he knew the Qur’an and that he was one of the people of knowledge, he refused to write an interpretation in line with my interpretation and he was stupid. If he had been like al-Hamdani or al-Hariri, he would not have been able to write something like my interpretation .” – Majmu’at al-Khaza’in al-Ruhaniyyah, Part 18, Book of the Miracle of the Messiah, p. 24.

 


** The suspicious person almost says, "Take me!"

 

          In the context of his weak challenges to the sheikhs of Punjab, Mirza challenged one of the sheikhs to differentiate between paragraphs from Mirza’s writings and paragraphs from the writings of well-known Arab writers.

 

Mirza Ghulam says: “ The thing that will save people from the dangers of his forgeries and the futility of his statements is that we present to him some of our words and some of the words of some of the Arabs, and we cover up our name and the name of those writers with it, then we say: Inform us of our words and the words of those people if you are among the truthful ones among your descendants. If he recognizes my words and their words, he will be right in what he intended and will separate them like the splitting of a seed from its date stone, so we will give him fifty rupees as a gift from us or as a fine .” – Majmu’at al-Khaza’in al-Ruhaniyyah, Part 12, Book of Hujjat Allah, pp. 144-145.

 

          After seeing some examples, we will know why Mirza was confident that his opponents would not differentiate between the selected paragraphs from his writings and the writings of Arab writers. Mirza thought that simply cutting and pasting from the writings of Arab writers would give strength to his comic writings.

 

** Come on! That lazy thief!

 

          The reader of some of Mirza Ghulam’s books – such as Hujjatullah or Lajjat ​​al-Nur – will be shocked by the number of sentences and rhymes stolen from al-Hariri’s Maqamat, and will be surprised by the absolute stupidity that the charlatan of Qadian suffered from. Ghulam stole entire paragraphs from al-Hariri’s Maqamat without making any notable changes, and when Mirza tried to make a slight change to al-Hariri’s expressions, he committed blatant mistakes that proved that he was a failed photocopier that was only suitable for cursing opponents.

 

Example No. 1:

 

Al-Hariri says in his Maqamat:

 

(( So the vicissitudes of misfortunes, the wars of sorrows, the sparks of the evil of the envious, and the onset of black calamities continued to plague him , until comfort turned yellow , the square became empty, the spring became dark, the square became deserted, the assembly became strong, the bed became difficult, the situation became unbearable, the children became poor, the envious became merciful, the speaker and the silent perished, the envious and the gloating mourned for us , and the harsh time and extreme poverty befell us, until we took up the pain, and were nourished by the grief, and were engulfed in the The atmosphere . And we folded up the entrails upon the fold )) - Al-Hariri’s Maqamat, p. 7.

 

Now read what Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian wrote, referring to the Christian Abdullah Atam:

 

(( Until the horrors became severe upon him, and comfort was lost , and wealth was stolen, and he supported his children , and he was tormented with the inflicted torment, and he was made to suffer with the inflicted poverty, and he often followed the path of grief and nourished the sorrow and internalized the anguish . Thus he spent his life in distress and the onset of calamities , then he migrated to India, abandoned and blamed, and he lived stabbed and wounded, and the frowns of calamities and wars of distress and the cursing of the cursers and the stabbing of the stabbers continued upon him , until the trials were repeated and the seditions multiplied, and the assembly became stronger and the pasture became scarce )) - Collection of Spiritual Treasures, Part 12, Book of the Proof of God, pp. 211-212.

 


Have you noticed that ( Naba Al-Murabba’ ) in Al-Hariri’s Maqamat became ( Naba Al-Murta’ ) in Al-Mirza’s book! What a miraculous modification that only a crazy thief could have done.

 

Example No. 2:

 

Al-Hariri says: “ Al-Harith bin Hammam narrated: ‘Since I perfected my management and knew my tribe from my tribe , I have been concerned with listening to sermons and cancelling out the memorized words … They are spread out like locusts and are guided by the guides of horses and are in agreement about a preacher whom they intend to go to. ’” – Maqamat Al-Hariri, p. 51. He also says on p. 87: “ And the boys are crying out in grief and wishing to be sucked by the date stone . ”

 

Now read what Yalash, the god of Qadianism, wrote: “ Praise be to Allah who has spared me from my own impossibility and has made for me a difference and a distinction between my tribe and my own . You did not listen to sermons and did not memorize them, but rather you hurt memorized words … Do not wait for the hump of horses … And whoever is given a portion of piety, even if it is like a date pit, should never conceal his testimony .” - Collection of Spiritual Treasures, Part 12, Book of the Proof of Allah, p. 191.

 


** The urgent thief

 

Al-Hariri says: “ Then the poles of misfortunes, the wars of sorrows, the sparks of the evil of the envious, and the onset of black calamities continued to plague him, until comfort turned yellow , the square became empty, the source became dark, the square became deserted , the assembly became strong, the bed became difficult, the situation became unbearable, the children became poor, the envious became merciful, the speaker and the silent perished, the envious and the gloating mourned for us , and the harsh time and extreme poverty befell us, until we took up the pain and were nourished by the grief.” We have internalized the grief. And folded the entrails upon the fold. And applied kohl to the insomnia. And settled in the valleys. And settled in the tamarisk. And we forgot the tamarisk, and enjoyed the needy time and waited for the available day. Is there a free man who is patient? Or a generous one who consoles? By He who extracted me from his saying, I have become the brother of his family. I do not own a house for his night . As is clear from the above paragraph of Al-Hariri’s Maqamat, Mirza Ghulam cut out all the red highlighted phrases and stuffed most of them into one page of his inspirational book “Hujjatullah”. The funny thing is that when he used Al-Hariri’s phrase (“ I have become a brother of a family who does not own a home for a night ”), he did not notice that he had to modify it a little because he used it in the plural form and not the singular.

 

The boy says: “ And they spend the night as a family brother, asking people for food and not owning a house for a night .” Spiritual Treasures Collection, Part 12, The Book of God’s Proof, p. 190.

 


It seems that Yalash was in a hurry to cut and paste, as he kept “Akha Ayla” as it is instead of making it “Akhwa Ayla” or “Ikhwan Ayla.”

 

** How to write a Yalasha page using Al-Hariri’s Maqamat!

 

Now let us take a closer look at how to create an inspirational page by cutting and pasting from Al-Hariri’s Maqamat. Let us take as an example page 181 of the Qadiani book “Hujjatullah.”

** The impudence of a thief!

 

Until recently, I used to think that the Punjabi sheikhs during Mirza’s time did not notice Mirza’s shameful plagiarisms, but I was very mistaken. The Punjabi sheikhs confronted Mirza and exposed his plagiarisms in his other inspirational book “The Miracle of Christ”, knowing that the polytheistic idea of ​​this book was stolen from the book “The Perfect Man” written by the Sufi Abdul Karim Jili, whom Mirza accused of having the polytheistic doctrine of the Trinity. When the sheikhs confronted Mirza with his plagiarisms, he said that he did not steal the entire book “Maqamat al-Hariri” and therefore his act cannot be considered plagiarism!!!

 

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani wrote in 1902: “ How strange that quoting expressions from Hariri or Hamadani has raised all this objection! It is shameful for that Sheikh - Mulla Gulrawi - not to consider two or four expressions as a reference but to consider them as theft. Just as Hariri’s book contained some verses from the Qur’an which he quoted as a reference, I also used some quotations and expressions from other books without modification and used some expressions from Abu al-Fadl Badi’ al-Zaman. Therefore, does anyone have the right to conclude that Hariri’s Maqamat has been copied or stolen completely ?” - Spiritual Treasures, Part 18, The Book of the Descent of the Messiah, p. 433

 


          Of course, whoever reads the book (Hujjatullah) and the book (Maqamat Al-Hariri) will know very well that Mirza did not just steal a few phrases, but he stole many, many long paragraphs and modified some of them to deceive people. And the worst of all is that he claimed that he received those writings through divine inspiration!

 

Of course, this is not considered theft, O opponents of Qadianism. Mirza is not considered a thief as long as he did not say that he was the one who wrote the book “Maqamat al-Hariri”!!!

There are many other examples, including other books by Al-Ghulam, such as “The Miracle of Christ” and “The Wave of Light,” as shown in the last example above. They also include most of Al-Ghulam’s poems, where he would steal rhyme from well-known poets and then weave a verse around the stolen rhyme that has no weight, taste, or smell. I will try, with the help of God Almighty, to shed light on Al-Ghulam’s poetic thefts and the farces he practiced in this regard in my upcoming posts, God willing.

 

          In conclusion, let us not forget what Mirza Ghulam said about his knowledge: “ The Messiah descends from heaven with all his knowledge and does not take anything from the earth .” - The Spiritual Treasures Collection, Part 5, The Mirror of the Perfections of Islam, p. 409.

 


          Mirza Ghulam says: “ Everything I have said about the perfection of my eloquence in rhetoric is after the Book of God, the Qur’an .” – Collection of Spiritual Treasures, Part 16, Book of the Wave of Light, p. 464

 


I said: I seek refuge in Allah! Was the book “Maqamat Al-Hariri” one of the heavenly books? Was this book ranked second after the Qur’an!! So how can someone who steals and distorts passages from it claim that his writings are heavenly and that his words are a shadow of the eloquence of the Qur’an?

 

I seek refuge in Allah from disappointment and from the deception of the deceivers of Qadian.
