The Magi were the first to worship Christ,
peace be upon him. The Holy Bible says: (1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”) Matthew 2: 1-2 (9 So when they heard the king, they departed. And behold, the star that They saw him in the east going before them, until he came and stood over where the child was. 10And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11And they came to the house and saw it. Matthew 2:9-11
Was the star in the sky or did it approach the earth? If it was in the sky, how could the huge star pinpoint the small place where Jesus was born from a place billions of light years away from the earth? It is customary for me to point my finger to point a car. But to point a car to point a person’s finger, that is illogical. And how did the rest of the people not see it, or at least the revelation of the rest of the evangelists? Was the speed of the Magi on earth equal to the speed of the star in the sky? Of course not. The speed of a person on earth is much faster than the movement of the stars.
In addition to the fact that the movements of the seven wandering stars, as well as the true movement of some tailed creatures, are from west to east, and the movement of some tailed stars is from east to west, then in these two images it is certainly evident that they are false; because Bethlehem is from Jerusalem to the south. The story says that the Magi came to Jerusalem and then the king sent them to Bethlehem, which is located south of Jerusalem. Thus, they must have followed a star that moved from north to south, which is not available in the seven wandering stars. It is true that there are some tailed stars that move from north to south by a certain mile, but this movement is very slow compared to the movement of the earth, and this movement cannot be felt except after a while.
But if the star approached and stopped where the boy was born, it would have been a miracle, and there would have been no need to announce the kingdom of heaven, or for a human to deny it. And historians would have recorded it.
Do you not agree with me that the star is a glowing mass of fire that shines in the sky? Do you not agree with me that the star is billions of times larger than the sun? Do you not realize what the sun does to us if it approaches the earth? So what if the star itself approached? Doesn’t that indicate the ignorance of the Gospel writers and their lack of knowledge of the nature of the star and that it is a mass of fire?
Then what is the relationship of the fire-worshipping Magi to Judaism and the coming of the King of the Jews? And how did they know that despite the Jews themselves not knowing about this appointment? When Jesus was crucified and after 33 years of living with him, the high priest asked him: (“I adjure you by the living God that you tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God?”) Matthew 26:63 (11Then Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”) Matthew 27:11
If they had believed that, they would have been followers of Judaism! We have not heard, read, or recorded that the Magi prostrated to any of the Jewish kings. So why did they endure the hardship of traveling, offering their treasures, disbelieving in their religion, and prostrating to someone who disparaged their religion and cursed their god?
Did Herod leave those who mocked him and killed all the children of the city of Lahm, a small city that was within his jurisdiction and easy to control, and it was easy for him to know who was born there and to which house the Magi came? And why were his soldiers unable to catch up with the Magi who insulted him or to verify the legend of this king of the Jews? And why did he go to the trouble of killing children in the rest of the borders? If Herod had done this, he would have become an enemy of the Jews in all their sects, and it would have been written by historians, both Jewish and non-Jewish, who used to write down Herod’s faults and review his faults and crimes.
Even if we assume that they knew this through astrology, the Bible would call for following and believing astrologers, which is an abomination to them and is completely forbidden: (31Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, or you will be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.) Leviticus 19:31; (6And the person who turns to mediums or spiritists to commit adultery after them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.) Leviticus 20:6; (10There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or who practices divination or sorcery, or who uses omens or enchanters, 11or who practices spells or who consults mediums or spiritists, or who consults the dead. 12For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD. And because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. 13You shall be blameless before the LORD your God.) Deuteronomy 18:10-13
It is known from Matthew that Jesus' parents also lived in Bethlehem after his birth, and it is understood from some of his words that this stay there was for a period of about two years, and the Magi came there, then went to Egypt and stayed there as long as Herod lived, and returned after his death and stayed in Nazareth.
It is known from Luke that Jesus' parents went to Jerusalem after the period of childbirth was over, and after offering the sacrifice they returned to Nazareth and stayed there, and they used to go from there to Jerusalem on the feast days of each year, and Jesus stayed in Jerusalem when he was twelve years old without informing his parents in Jerusalem.
According to his words, there is no way for the Magi to come to Bethlehem - since Bethlehem is located to the south of Jerusalem and Nazareth is located to the north of Palestine, and the distance between them is 115 kilometers - but even if it is assumed that they came, it would be to Nazareth, because their coming during the road is also far, and therefore there is no way for his parents to go to Egypt and stay there.
It is also known from Matthew’s words that the people of Jerusalem and Herod did not know about the birth of Jesus before the Magi informed him, and they were stubborn towards him.
It is known from Luke’s words that when Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem after the period of confinement to offer sacrifices, Simeon (the elder), who was a righteous man filled with the Holy Spirit, and who had been inspired that he would not see death before seeing Christ, took Jesus, peace be upon him, in his arms in the temple; and the prophetess Hannah did the same, as she stood praising the Lord at that hour, and informed all those waiting in Jerusalem.
If Herod and the people of Jerusalem were hostile to Christ, the man filled with the Holy Spirit would not have told the truth in the temple, which was the gathering place of people at all times, and the prophetess Hannah would not have told this news in Jerusalem, which was the seat of Herod’s power.
