He envies the end of the righteous,
and boasts that God is his Father. [16]
It is not fitting for the righteous to despise sinners, nor to condemn them, even if he does not accept their evils, nor walk in their ways. It is not fitting for him to insult them even with his looks, but rather to be gentle with them and love them in the Lord, seeking their salvation. But the wicked, knowing the corruption of their ways and the refusal of the righteous to walk with them in the same way, realize that he teaches them that their way is false and false, and that he avoids their ways, because he blesses the end of the righteous, and cherishes the spirit of sonship to God, this spirit that the rich grace of God gave him in the waters of baptism.
But what is the response of the wicked who persist in their evil? They say:
Let us see if his words are true,
and let us test what his end will be? [17]
Instead of imitating the righteous, they mock them, as they mocked the holy and righteous, the only begotten Son of God.

6. Resist the righteous even to death.
If the righteous man is the Son of God,
He will help him and rescue him from the hands of his enemies. [18]
The wicked are proud of their brute strength and think that no power can stand before them, not even God Himself. When they abuse the righteous man, they mock him, saying, “If the righteous man is the Son of God, let him help him and rescue him from the hands of his enemies.” Thus they challenge God Himself to see if He can rescue the righteous man from their hands.
Here is a clear prophecy about the Lord Christ, as they mocked Him, until the two thieves said, “He saved others; himself He could not save.” And it was said about Him, “If He is the Son of God, let Him come down from the cross, and we will believe in Him.” They did not realize that by the cross the Lord Christ conquered Satan, and by His death He trampled death, and saved all of humanity so that it might triumph and be crowned with Him.
Let us test Him with insults and torture,
so that we may know His patience and test His endurance. [19]
This challenge existed between Satan personally or through his party with whom he entered into a covenant and God in the persons of his believers from the men of the Old and New Testaments, and it reached its peak with the coming of his only begotten Son, so the enemy of good thought that he was able to be completely saved from him through the cross, as the enemy was ignorant of his humility and his plan for the salvation of the world. This challenge remains between the world that was placed in evil and the Church of God, increasing to reach its peak with the coming of the Antichrist in the last days, as the enemy of good realizes that his end has drawn near.
And let us condemn him to a shameful death,
for he will be visited according to his words .” [20]
Both Saint Augustine and the scholar Origen see that the wicked condemn the righteous - our Lord Jesus - to a shameful death , that is, by the cross, and they did not realize that by the cross he was at the peak of glory through his love and humility.

There are translations and interpretations that said that the friend in chapter 4 is the prophet Enoch. This statement has no evidence
