Why did God not protect his (holy) book from distortion

Some Christians who ignore the evidence and proofs that their holy book has been distorted ask: When God gives a person a book from Him, do you think that He cannot preserve it from human tampering?

We say to those who ignore the evidence and proofs that their holy book has been distorted:
Yes, God is able to preserve His word, but He, glory be to Him, chose to entrust the preservation of His word to the scholars and rabbis of the Jews, and He did not undertake to preserve it. He left the preservation of His word in their hands, so preserving the book was a matter of obligation, and since it is a matter of obligation, it is subject to obedience and disobedience on the part of those who are obligated. The Lord entrusted them with His book, and He did not undertake to preserve it. Here is the evidence from your holy book on this:

It is stated in the Book of Deuteronomy [4:2], the Lord said:
(( And now, O children of Israel, listen to the laws and the judgments that I teach you, that you may do them, and you may live and go in to possess the land. Which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance, you shall not add to the word which I command you, nor shall you diminish from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you .

And it is stated in the Book of Deuteronomy [12:32] that the Lord said:
(( Every word which I command you, be careful to do it; do not add to it, nor take away from it .))

And it is stated in the Book of Proverbs [30:5-6]:
(( Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who trust in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you and you be found a liar . ))

The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Romans 3

2 Too much in every way! But first, because they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

3 What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify the faithfulness of God?

4 Certainly not! Rather, let God be true, and every man a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and overcome when you are judged.”
In the Book of Revelation [22:18] the writer said:
(( And I testify to everyone who hears the things that are written in this book of prophecy: If anyone adds anything to what is written in it, God will add plagues to him. And if anyone takes away anything from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his portion from the tree of life . . . .))

This text is a clear expression from the writer that God did not undertake to preserve this book because he made the punishment for whoever adds something such and such… and the punishment for whoever deletes something such and such… This is clear evidence that God did not undertake to preserve the book .

And in this, God Almighty says about the Torah, which was the law of Moses, peace be upon him, and the law of the prophets after him until Jesus, peace be upon him:
(( Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to God] judged by it for the Jews, and the rabbis and the scholars [of Islam], by what they were entrusted with of the Book of God, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people, but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what God has revealed Those are the disbelievers.)) Al-Ma'idah: 44

The meaning of (they were commanded to preserve it): that is, they were ordered to preserve it. There is preservation and there is preservation.
If the rabbis and monks who came after did not preserve it, but rather changed and distorted it, this does not mean that God was not able to preserve His Book - God forbid - but the meaning is: that God did not undertake to preserve it, but rather made the Jews trustees over it.

So do the Christians consider the aforementioned texts to be interpolated by us, or did they disbelieve in them as if they did not exist?

It is known that there were hundreds of messengers and prophets who came after Noah, peace be upon him, and the Lord did not undertake to preserve their messages, whether they were oral or written. Otherwise, where are they? An example of this is: The scrolls of Abraham that were mentioned in the Holy Qur’an do not exist today,

and the Holy Bible acknowledged that it fell into the hands of distorters and was distorted.
So look, my brother, at these texts.
The writer of Psalm (56:4) attributes to David, peace be upon him, that his enemies distort his words all day long:

(( What can men do to me? All day long they twist my words. All their thoughts are evil against me. ))

The writer of the Book of Jeremiah (23:13, 15, 16) admitted that the false prophets of Jerusalem and the false prophets of Samaria deliberately distorted the word of God:
(( In the midst of the prophets of Samaria I witnessed detestable things, when they prophesied in the name of Baal, and led my people Israel astray. And in the midst of The prophets of Jerusalem I saw terrible things: they commit adultery, and walk in lies, they strengthen the hands of the workers of iniquity, so that no one will repent of his wickedness. . . For from the prophets of Jerusalem blasphemy spread throughout the land . ))

The Book of Jeremiah acknowledged that the Jews distorted the word of God, so it attributes to Jeremiah in (23:36) the rebuke of the prophet Jeremiah to the Jews:
(( But do not mention the burden of the Lord anymore, for every man’s word will be his burden, since you have distorted the word of God The living Lord Almighty, our God .))

We also find in the Book of Jeremiah that Jeremiah rebuked and rebuked the Jews for distorting the word of the Lord:

(( How do you say that we are wise, and the word of the Lord is with us? Indeed, the lying pen of the scribes has turned it into a lie. ))

The First Book of Kings (19:9) is attributed to the Prophet Elijah when he fled from the sword of the Jews, saying:

(( And the Lord said to Elijah, What are you doing here, Elijah? And he answered, I have been very jealous for the Lord God Almighty, because the children of Israel have renounced your covenant, and have torn down your altars, and have killed your prophets with the sword, and I alone am left. And behold, they seek to kill me also. ))

The Book of Isaiah (29:15, 16) is attributed to Isaiah’s rebuke of the Jews:

(( Woe to those who They delve deeply to hide their opinion from the Lord, so their works are in darkness, and they say, “Who sees us and who knows us?” “Oh, your distortion .”

So if the Holy Book acknowledged distortion, what is required? Has the eyes become blind?

After we mentioned the Holy Book’s recognition of the possibility of distortion and its occurrence on many occasions by the People of the Book who were the guardians of this book from God and His prophets after him, we mention that this was a test from God and a trial for these people by making them trustees of His book. This was also because these previous books were not for people in general but rather for the people of each prophet in particular. They were not eternal but rather temporary for a specific time and place in the time of the prophet and among his people. All the books that were distorted were not the books of his seal or the last books revealed from God. Rather, God pledged to send messengers and prophets one after the other to correct what the distorters changed of doctrine, law, method, teachings and paragraphs from their books until the last books and the seal of the messages were revealed with the seal of the messengers. Also, these books were not from God in word and letter. Rather, the People of the Book say in their explanation and interpretation of their books that God inspired the prophet with the meaning and left him to choose the words. After the people of the prophet distorted the meaning and did what… They disobey God’s commands, make permissible what is forbidden and forbid what is permissible, and call things by other names. There is no need or benefit in preserving human words after distorting the divine commands.
