: Historical error in the Bible / City (Dan)
Praise be to God and prayers and peace be upon our master the Messenger of God and his family and companions and those who follow him and after: -
_Let us contemplate this historical error in the Holy Book of Christians, which is specifically between the Book of Genesis and the Book of Judges and let us know the date of writing of both of them first
1_ Book of Genesis / The Bible Dictionary says: -
Even though the name of the writer of the book is not mentioned in the book, the ancient Hebrew writings say that the writer of the book is Moses and the evidence in the book in terms of phrases, vocabulary, terms, style and other things agree with other writings that came to us from the era of Moses

2_ As for the Book of Judges, it was written after Genesis without a doubt, as Moses wrote the five books and the last of them is Deuteronomy and then died: - Father Maximus Wasfi: "The Book of Judges was written after the destruction of the sanctuary in Shiloh (Judges 18:31) but before David's capture of Jerusalem (Judges 1:21)
#Nati_ To review the historical error
, we read in Genesis chapter 14
- When Abram heard that his brother's son was taken prisoner, he took three hundred and eighteen of his trained young men, born in his house, and pursued them until he reached Dan -
and the error here is that "Dan" was not called by this name until the Book of Judges, that is, after the death of Moses, but centuries after the death of Abraham himself, and verbal evidence we read in the Book of Judges 18/27-29.
_27) As for the Danites, they came to Laish with the idols of Micah and the priest, and found its people safe, secure, and peaceful, so they attacked it and killed its people with the edge of the sword and burned it.
(28) And no one rushed to save it, because it was far from Sidon, and its people had not made alliances with anyone. And the city was situated in the valley in which Beth Rehob was. And the Danites rebuilt the city and settled in it,
(29) (and they called it Dan, after the name of their father Dan) whom Israel begot. As for its ancient name, it was Laish .
_ If the first to name the city with this name were the Danites in the Book of Judges, which was written after the death of Moses, then where did Moses get this name from before this incident!!!??? _
And we read in the dictionary of the Holy Bible: -
Dan, which was called Laish in ancient times. At first it was part of the Sidon district, but the Danites took it and named it after their father

The question here is, it was called what in the past, not Dan, so it was not called that as we mentioned until after the entry of the Danites. So where did Moses come from, who you claim wrote those books with this name and they were named after him?!??
and God knows best, and may God bless and grant peace to our Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions, and peace be upon
the idea from the episode of Dr. Sami Amri
