To all Muslim brothers... May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
Do you believe that the Gospel of Luke says that the Virgin Mary became pregnant with Christ, son of Mary, during the reign of King Herod and did not give birth to him until 10 years later, which was the period of the rule of his son Archelaus after his father Herod, during the time of the ruler who followed him, Quirinius... while Matthew contradicts him in that and says that Jesus was born during the reign of King Herod?Come together to know the amazing story.. where the Gospel of Matthew tells us that Jesus was born in the era of King Herod.. He says:When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king. So Christ was born in the era of Herod, and Quintilius Pharus was the ruler of Syria at that time. Then Matthew tells us the story of Jesus’ escape with his mother Mary and Joseph the carpenter, then his return again to Palestine during the reign of Archelaus, son of Herod, saying, “But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there.” And Archelaus, Herod, ruled “Judea” for 9 to 10 years according to all history books, as Adam Clarke says. Then we find the Gospel of Luke in the first chapter confirming Mary’s pregnancy during the reign of Herod: “ There was in the days of Herod , king of Judea, a priest named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah; and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth … And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord, standing on the right side of the altar of incense . And your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call his name John. And the angel answered and said to him, ‘I am Gabriel who stand by.’” “ In the presence of God, I was sent to speak to you and to bring you good news of these things. And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary .” So Elizabeth conceived in the time of Herod, and six months later the Lady Mary conceived, as the first chapter says, and as the angel Gabriel gave her the good news. And John was born in the time of Herod. However, we find a great surprise when the Gospel of Luke says in Chapter 2, verses 1-7: “ And in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. And this first registration took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria. And they all went to be registered, each to his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is It is called Bethlehem because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his espoused wife, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger. "So how does Luke say that Jesus was born during the first registration in the era when Quirinius was governor of Syria .. who was not governor of Syria until after Archelaus, son of Herod, was removed from the rule of Judah after he ruled it from 9 to 10 ten years after the death of Herod.. and it was annexed Judah to Syria to be ruled by Quirinius?!So from the Gospel of Matthew and the first and second chapters of Luke... Matthew says that Jesus was born during the reign of Herod and Luke says that Jesus was conceived by his mother during the reign of Herod and then was born during the reign of Quirinius after the deposition of Archelaus, the son of Herod, who had ruled ten years after his father Herod ... Is this a revelation from the Holy Spirit?!
