News of blatant sexual abuse, which has become known as church scandals, is appearing rapidly these days. Many confirm that what Catholic priests in particular have done is a disgrace and shame that cannot be erased from the face of Christianity . The American Time magazine issued a comprehensive report on the role of Pope Benedict XVI in resolving this dilemma and how previous popes were lax in doing anything, even saying a word of apology. The report was the main topic in the magazine for that issue: Why being Pope means never having to say you're sorry . The report contains a large number of important comments on sexual depravity in the church, which is issued mainly by representatives and followers of the Catholic Church around the world. The report presented several testimonies of men who were sexually exploited by priests in the middle of the last century. Bernay McDade is one of the victims who testified, and the report's author said about her, "Through this story, you will know why St. Peter's Church trembles." The victim tells her story: "The priest picked me up and hugged me, then tickled me just like my father used to do. I thought he was teasing me and playing with me! But something changed. The priest was trying to grab (..). I felt him playing with me from behind. I was scared, and I knew something was wrong! My face was towards the window, so I looked up to the sky and prayed to God." The victim confirms that this act was repeated many times for three years. He adds that his mother is a religious woman who was happy and delighted when the priest came to take her son to the church. He was 11 years old when the assault began. The victim confirms a miserable fact: "He used to go on cruises with a number of boys and the priest, and sadly the last boy who stayed in the car must have been sexually assaulted!" The victim told his father, who quickly reported what had happened to another priest in the neighboring city, but it was as if nothing had happened. After the head priest decided to change the priest and transfer him to another city, the sinful priest continued to assault children in three other churches until his death in 1989. These crimes cost the church a lot of money, as it sold many of its properties to cover the compensation paid to the victims. The Pope, for his part, began to call for making the issue personal, and filing a complaint against any abusive priest with the local police. This opened the door to holding aggressors accountable in various parts of the world. Australia is one of these countries whose children are subjected to abuse by priests. A teacher priest is sentenced to twenty years in prison for raping 39 children . Here is some strange news, as it tells the story of a priest who committed a number of sexual crimes against children, taking advantage of his position as a teacher in the school. The news even indicates that he would call the student to leave the classroom to go with him to his room and rape him there, then release him to return to the classroom, and often give him ten dollars as a gift (.)! The crimes committed by the teacher priest occurred at a time in the past between 1968 and 1986, but he was tried. Only in 2008 did the judge issue a 20-year prison sentence against him, knowing that his current age is 67. The number of those who came forward to testify against him is 39 (men) who he assaulted when they were children studying at his school. http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news...0702-zsma.html
Another tragic news is that a priest assaulted his two underage daughters. When the judge asked him why, he replied that he wanted to teach his daughters how to be good wives (.)!.
The news reported in The Sydney Morning Herald confirmed that the man began his crime in 1991 and continued for a whole decade. When his two daughters were 13 and 16 years old. The priest admitted that he committed these violations in more than one place. The priest relied on some stories that were mentioned in the Bible. However, the judge rejected what he called distortion and accused him of child abuse and breach of trust entrusted to him, and sentenced the priest, who is 54 years old, to eight and a half years in prison.
