Christian poets who praised the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace

the village poet

. Among the most famous poets of the southern diaspora, the name Rashid Salim Al-Khoury, who was known as the village poet, stands out to us. He composed a poem entitled “Eid Al-Bariyah” in which he urged Muslims to restore their ancient glory, and he conveyed his greetings and love to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, calling for love and brotherhood between Muslims and Christians, in service to their homelands and the entire East, so he shouted:

O conqueror of the earth, a field for his state
, your country has become a field for every strong person
, O people, this is a Christian reminding you,
nothing can revive the East except our brotherly love,
so if you mention the Messenger of God as an honor,
then convey to him the greetings of the poet Al-Qarawi.

The poet Al-Qarawi wishes for the era of glory to return in Baghdad and Andalusia, so he said:

How wonderful is the era of Baghdad and Andalusia,
an era for which I would sacrifice my soul, and
whoever was in doubt about the enormity of his state,
let him recite what is in the histories of peoples. It was narrated by

Rashid Salim Al-Khouri - the poet Al-Qarawi,

who is the same one who asked every leader of the nation - even though his words were directed at that time to the Druze leader Sultan Al-Atrash when he ignited his revolution against the French in 1925 - to fight The enemies of the nation with the sword of Muhammad, not to turn the cheek of Christ towards it - even though he is a Christian who believes in his religion - for this is what protects homelands and repels shame, so he says:

Young man of the battle, do not blame us
and excuse us well, you will do well
in what you practiced in the days when we
practiced submission in our chains,
so you ignited corpses and heads for it, and
we lit incense burners and candles .
If you try to lift the injustice, strike
with the sword of Muhammad and abandon Jesus!
Love one another, we were admonished
with it like a wolf, but it did not save a flock
unless you revealed a new Gospel
that teaches us pride, not submission!
Save us from the torment of the yoke, not from
the torment of the fire, if you are able.
Oh Lebanon, your sons died a death,
and I thought they were fast asleep. Didn’t you
see them? The fire of war was praying
, as if their blood had frozen in frost.
It seemed to you an opportunity to live freely,
so beware of wasting it.
You have no day after this day.
If you cannot, you will not be able to.

Khalil Mutran on the Islamic New Year.

Among the strange delusions of writers - who quote from one another - is that I read at least five articles about a poet who does not exist, whose name is Mutran Khalil Mutran! They mean the creative Lebanese poet Khalil Mutran, the poet of the two countries, who also has a share in praising Islam and its great Messenger, may God bless him and his family and companions, as he wrote a long poem charged with emotion, advice and jealousy called the Islamic New Year, in which he says:

Is the crescent moon? So greet the rising of the holiday .
Greet the herald of the fulfillment of promises.
O symbol, minds reveal in it
the unlimited meaning of God’s wisdom.
As if this beauty of yours, which is our splendor,
is the beauty of a firstborn of the moons.
O holiday, you came with a promise to return to us
the first of your first incidents with support.
Rather, you were two holidays. In bringing them closer together,
there is a gentle meaning that contradicts all separation.
The message of God does not end without hardship that
makes the trustworthy miserable, and alienation and distress.

After a long talk about migration, the message and the migrants, he says:

Muhammad suffered what he suffered
in his migration to Marib for the sake of God Mahmoud,
and how many raids and how many wars he endured
until he returned with empowerment and support.
Thus, life is a struggle and struggle is according to
the extent of life, and whoever sacrifices it will be sacrificed
. The lowest struggle is the struggle of a person out of foolishness
to preserve a life subject to a limit,
and whoever seeks the inevitable end , his goal is to
die with a mention that is not tainted.
You know, and my like does not inform you,
but my voice among you is the voice of repeating
what the migration of the guide bore for his nation
of good deeds that it prepared for immortality
and blackened the entire world
throughout its creation with blackness.

And about the state of the Arabs from division, backwardness and evil at the time of the advent of Islam, he says:

Polytheism appeared and had followers that established it
in every apparent theater with every establishment,
and the ignorant do not please their Creator
except as a slave to them in the form of a deity,
deified upon them from his manufacture
some metals or some boulders,
arrogant, refusing to grieve, deceived. Hajji
Thaqal Batsh Ladan Kalamid,
their opinion does not descend from them in their dispersion
except in the homes of dispersion and waste,
and does not include the supplication of their ruins
except as was cried out in Afar Abadid,
and they do not tolerate a rule other than what they have agreed upon
for the one with a banner on whims,

and about the effect of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on them he says:

With what dream does he destroy ignorance with confidence
, and with what determination does he humiliate the leaders and the hunters,
that illiterate youth returned his nation
together, all of them from the noble and glorious ones,
two difficult things that pleased him: the unification of their people
and taking them after polytheism with unification
and he increased on the earth in preparation for his call
with his covenant with the Christians and Jews
and his beginning of rule by consultation, with which he accomplishes
what God wills with justice and generosity.
This is the truth and the consensus supported it, so
whoever refutes it is more deserving of refutation.
Follow the poet of the two countries

and inspire the sons of Egypt, and incite them with an incitement to rise from their civilizational stumbles, and call them to revive their glories, and perform their civilizational role in leading the entire East, so that it has the right to raise its head proudly With its gifts,
he says:

O Muslims of Egypt, the seriousness is your religion
and what is said is bad. A people without seriousness
has been long indolence and the years are fleeting
and the year is not returned when it passes.
Rise to work that benefits the country, for no
one benefits it, O my nation,
strive and be firm, for justice is your love,
and if the opinion of justice is that of a people who are not loved,
do not tire, do not get bored, if your thirst
is for a pond, from the people you will be watered.
Learn all knowledge and excel and take

every noble character that takes severity,
free the minds from the shackles and set out and do not
care about the feet with the shackles
of Egypt, the heart, for if you attain its safety,
then the East is not, and it has become sound, heartless.
The East is half of the world without work
except for enjoyment with what exhausts and what leads,
and the West is advancing and there is no ambition in the East except for
turning to the past and enumeration.
Civilization complains of a paralyzed body, in which
one half is counted and the other half is uncountable.
Sons of Egypt, you have a great duty
to revive an ancient lost glory.
Let the East return with its position elevated by you,
and let Egypt be proud with its neck held high.

The poem is long, charged with wonderful meanings, rich with jealousy and patriotism. Khalil Mutran has another celebratory poem in which he participated with the Muslims, entitled: The Sermon of the Hijri Eid, in which he praises and glorifies the crescent - the symbol of Islam, or the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, himself -
saying:

Peace be upon this crescent from a man whose
identity is clear, and the free man does not hide
Peace and honor.. by the right of both of them
and the most honorable of those you have loved is the one who honors
your identity in honor of the one whose symbol you are
from the upper Mareb, if he understood.
