: Did Prophet and his followers pray without ablution?

Did Muhammad (the Messenger of Islam) and his followers pray without ablution?

The title itself raises a question and makes us ask the Christian who wrote the previous article : Do you pray without ablution or with ablution?
The answer: Without a doubt: Christians pray while they are impure. Yes, while they are impure, and not just without ablution.
If the questioner believes that prayer ( according to his corrupt belief ) is permissible without ablution,
then why the question?
We say to the questioner: Since you believe that your prayer is permissible while you are impure, what is wrong with it being without ablution? Before Allah prescribed ablution?
Let us assume that prayer was without ablution before that.

A stupid question from a Christian that is even more stupid than the question itself. The title of the article itself proves the questioner’s lack of seriousness in asking the question.
Rather, it proves that the questioner does not acknowledge the teachings of his religion that made their prayer ( assuming it is prayer ) without ablution.

Before answering the two questions asked by the author of the article:
I would first like to make an important note that the author made in his article, which is:

In arranging the surahs according to their revelation, we find the following:
Surah No. 3 is Surah Al-Muzzammil.
Surah No. 50 is Surah Al-Isra.
Surah No. 92 is Surah An-Nisa.
Surah No. 112 is Surah Al-Ma'idah.

We will answer the Christian's questions from several aspects to prove that he is ignorant by all standards of ignorance.
And that his questions can be answered by any normal person who thinks impartially, far from the stupidity of Paul who teaches in churches.

The question posed
quote

Q1: Question: How did Muhammad (the Messenger of Islam) and his followers pray before the five Islamic prayers were imposed? ((In Isra and Mi'raj))

Q2: Question: How did Muhammad (the Messenger of Islam) and his followers pray during this period ((between the imposition of the five prayers (in Isra) and the imposition of ablution in Surat Al-Ma'idah is 62 Surah)) and before the revelation of the verse on ablution and the imposition of ablution?
Did they pray without ablution and were they impure?
Answer
: First: Assuming that what the author of the article mentioned is correct,

it is not correct to argue that a Muslim did not perform an obligation that Allah imposed on him before it was imposed.
A person cannot be held accountable for not paying zakat before zakat was imposed.
A person cannot be held accountable for not fasting before fasting was imposed.
Thus, ((a Muslim cannot be held accountable for praying without ablution before ablution was imposed.)) Suppose
he prayed without ablution before ablution was imposed .
This is something that is self-evident without considering what the author of the article mentioned.

Second: If the author of the article had pondered what he mentioned about the arrangement of the surahs according to the order of revelation,
he would have known that prayer was imposed in Mecca before the Isra and Mi'raj, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to stand at night until his feet swelled, and Allah commanded him to do this in Surat Al-Muzzammil . It is one of the first surahs to be revealed in the Holy Quran and its order is as stated in the number (3)
: ((O you wrapped up in garments (1) Arise [to pray] the night, except for a little (2) Half of it or subtract from it a little (3) or add to it and recite the Qur’an with measured recitation (4)) Al-Muzzammil
. This surah is Meccan and was revealed at the beginning of the revelation and its order in revelation is number (3). Thus we find that it was revealed before Surah Al-Isra, which is ordered (50).
Al-Qurtubi said in presenting his interpretation:

quote
Was ( night prayer ) obligatory upon the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, alone, or upon him and the prophets who came before him, or upon him and his nation? There are three opinions:
The first: The opinion of Saeed bin Jubair, because the address was directed to him in particular.
Second: The statement of Ibn Abbas, who said: Night prayer was obligatory upon the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and upon the prophets before him.
Third: The statement of Aisha and Ibn Abbas as well, which is the correct one; as in Sahih Muslim on the authority of Zurara bin Awfa that Sa`d bin Hisham bin `Amir wanted to go on a military expedition in the cause of God. .. The hadith, in which it says: So I said to Aisha: Tell me about the standing of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace? She said: Do you not recite: “O you wrapped in garments.” I said: Yes! She said: “Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic, made the night prayer obligatory at the beginning of this surah. So the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, and his companions stood for a year, and Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic, held back its conclusion for twelve months in the heavens, until Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic, revealed at the end of this surah the alleviation, so the night prayer became voluntary after the obligatory
one.”

We conclude from the previous analysis that prayer was imposed on the Noble Messenger at the beginning of the revelation. What was imposed on the Night of the Isra’ were the five daily prayers with their known rak’ahs during the day and night, not the prayer itself.
Before that, prayer was two rak’ahs in the morning and two rak’ahs in the evening, like the prayer of our Master Abraham, upon him and upon our Prophet be the best prayers and the most complete peace.
The hadiths reported about the Isra’ and Mi’raj confirm and support this.
Al-Bazzar, Al-Tabarani and Al-Bayhaqi narrated and authenticated it in his book “Dala’il Al-Nubuwwah” from the hadith of Shaddad bin Aws that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) was taken on the Night Journey, he passed by a land of palm trees, so Gabriel ordered him to come down from the Buraq to pray. He prayed and then told him that the place where he prayed was Yathrib or Taiba, and that is where he would emigrate. Then he ordered him to pray when he passed by Midian near the tree of Moses, which is the one he took shelter under after he watered the sheep for the two women before he met their father – as some commentators said – and when the caravan passed by Mount Sinai, he ordered him to pray as well, and that was where God spoke to Moses, and when he passed by Bethlehem, he also prayed, and that was where Jesus, son of Mary, was born. This is what was narrated through a sound chain of transmission
as mentioned by Al-Bayhaqi.
If the Christians had tried hard, they would have understood from this narration that prayer was known to the Prophet (peace be upon him) beforehand.
Otherwise, how did the Prophet pray in these places? If we delved into the hadith more, we would know that the Prophet led the prophets in prayer.
But the fanaticism of the Christians and their desperate attempts to mislead themselves and others made them forget these hadiths.

We come to the second question: (( How did Muhammad (the Messenger of Islam) and his followers pray during this period ((between the obligation of the five daily prayers (in Al-Isra’) and the obligation of ablution in Al-Ma’idah, which is 62 Surahs)) and before the revelation of the verse of ablution and the obligation of ablution?
Did they pray without ablution while they were impure?

If the questioner had sufficed with the two verses he cited, he would have known that ablution was known to Muslims before the revelation of the verse of An-Nisa’.
The subject within the limits of these two verses will not need a scholar or jurist to respond to this ignorant person.
Rather, all that is required is to read carefully to come out with the truth that silences the tongues of these misguided people.

The evidence that ablution was obligatory and known before the revelation of the verse of Al-Ma’idah:
God Almighty said in Surat An-Nisa’ “And it was revealed before Al-Ma’idah, as the website informed us” (( O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what You say, "And do not wash yourselves while you are in a state of major ritual impurity, except when passing through, until you have bathed. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the relieving himself or you have touched women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Pardoning ."

This verse was revealed before the verse on ablution.!!!!
So what is the meaning of the Almighty's saying (( and do not find water ))????
The meaning is clear that ablution was known and ablution was done with water, and the verse was revealed to make things easier in the case of the absence of water or in the case of illness that makes it difficult to use water and....and....

It is known that Surat An-Nisa was revealed before Surat Al-Ma’idah .

Another proof is the hadith of Aisha, may God be pleased with her. This verse was revealed in the story of Aisha when she lost her necklace in the Battle of Al-Muraisi’.
If we go back to the hadith of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, we find that she mentioned the verse of dry ablution and did not say the verse of ablution,
although it was revealed before the verse of ablution.

Hadith:

quote

115783 - Asma's necklace was lost, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent men to look for it. The time for prayer came, but they were not in a state of ritual purity, and they could not find any water, so they prayed without performing ritual purity. They mentioned that to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), so Allaah revealed the verse about tayammum.
Narrated by: Aisha - Summary of the degree: Saheeh - Narrator: Al-Bukhari - Source: Al-Jami’ Al-Saheeh - Page or number: 5882
Ablution is Meccan in its obligation and Medinan in its recitation, because the verse on ablution is Medinan. Aisha only said that God Almighty revealed the verse on dry ablution, and she did not say the verse on ablution, which is what it is, because ablution had been obligatory before, but it was not a Quran that was recited, until the verse on the Table was revealed.

It does not need intelligence, it only needs sincerity in research and sincerity with oneself.

The truth that the Christian website ignored:

From the previous words of the Christian website, in which it showed us the extent of its research in the verses of the Holy Quran and the order of revelation of the verses.
And even the extent of its research in the biography of the Prophet with its vast knowledge of the most minute details of the Isra and Mi'raj journey.
We can say that the website is fully aware of details that the average Muslim may not know.
But.... Is there honesty in presenting the subject in the way it was presented????
Or is there a deliberate disregard of some parts of the biography in order to mislead others, while they only mislead themselves and do not realize it, and the words of Allah the Most High apply to them:
(( A party of the People of the Scripture wish they could mislead you, but they mislead not except themselves, and they perceive [it] not .)) Al Imran 69
This is what they mean, but Allah’s favor upon us is great

((( And had it not been for Allah’s favor upon you and His mercy, a party of them would have resolved to mislead you, but they mislead not except themselves, and they do not harm you at all. And Allah has sent down to you the Book and wisdom and taught you What you did not know, and the favor of Allah upon you was great . (An-Nisaa’ 113)

In the books of biography and hadith we find a crushing response to these misguided people:

After the revelation was absent from Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, for a week after the first meeting in the Cave of Hira, the Prophet saw Gabriel sitting on a seat blocking the horizon. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, describes his vision of Gabriel, peace be upon him, in the second meeting, saying: Every time I looked in one direction in the sky, I found him filling it. He said to me: O Muhammad, you are the Messenger of God, and I am Gabriel from the sky. Gabriel descends from the sky and meets the Prophet to give him the first lesson. As described by Professor Amr Khaled,
the first lesson in prophecy?
Gabriel took the Prophet and went out with him far away into the desert and struck the ground with his wing, and a spring of water came out. Gabriel began to teach the Prophet ablution and prayer. The first lesson the Prophet received from Gabriel was prayer. Gabriel said: O Muhammad, do as I do. Gabriel began to wash his right hand, then his left hand, and wipe his head, and the Prophet imitated him and memorized. Gabriel began to perform the prayer as we pray it, and the Prophet imitated. It was an observational teaching before the world knew the meaning of teaching in this way. Then Gabriel said to the Prophet: O Muhammad, do as I did. Do two rak’ahs in the morning and two rak’ahs in the evening.
This is how prayer began, as it did not begin as five prayers as it is now. On the Night of Isra’ and Mi’raj, it became five prayers, each prayer two rak’ahs, and when the Prophet went to Medina, prayer became as many rak’ahs as it is now.

And we read that in the books of interpretation that the Christian writer ignored:
In the biography of the Prophet by Ibn Hisham,
Ibn Ishaq said: Some of the people of knowledge told me that when prayer was made obligatory for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, Gabriel came to him while he was in the upper part of Mecca, and he nudged him with his heel in the direction of the valley, and a spring gushed forth from him, and Gabriel, peace be upon him, performed ablution, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was looking at him to show him how to purify himself for prayer. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed ablution as he had seen Gabriel perform ablution. Then Gabriel stood up and prayed with him, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed with him. Then Gabriel, peace be upon him, left, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Khadija and performed ablution for her to show her how to purify herself for prayer as Gabriel had shown him. She performed ablution as the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed ablution for her. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed with her as Gabriel had prayed with him, and she prayed with him.

Not only that, but if we knew how Ali ibn Abi Talib converted to Islam while he was The first boy to convert to Islam, as we know that prayer was known before the Night Journey and Ascension.

The conversion of Ali ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him:
Ali ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, is the cousin of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he was under his care, may God bless him and grant him peace, before it was revealed to him, because the Quraysh were afflicted with a severe crisis, and Abu Talib had many children but little money, so the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, took Ali and took him with him, as he took Al-Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib and Jaafar ibn Abi Talib, to make things easier for Abu Talib.
Ali was a boy who had not yet converted to Islam when he converted to Islam, and the reason for his conversion to Islam was that he saw the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Lady Khadija praying, so he asked the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he told him that he was the Messenger of God and that he had brought Islam, so Ali ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, converted to Islam, and thus he was the first boy to convert to Islam.

From the above, we know that prayer was imposed since the beginning of the revelation and that prayer was performed with ablution, as Gabriel taught the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Now we turn the tables on the magician:

We ask Christians in general and the author of the article in particular: What did the One you worship say to you after He descended to earth, became incarnate, and lived for more than thirty years with humans on earth ( Where did He tell you how to worship Him and pray to Him, and did He command you to purify yourself or perform ablution??? )
Rather, what is more astonishing than this is that He did not tell them that He is God and yet they worship Him.
So if you, O Christian, are searching in Islam for how to pray before the Isra and Mi'raj. It would have been more appropriate for you to search in your faith for how your Lord Jesus prayed:

Luke (22:40) And when he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
22:41 And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw , and knelt down and prayed.
22:42 “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done.”
22:43 And an angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him. 22:44 And being in an agony , he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like great drops of blood falling down to the ground . To whom was he praying? Fools will say, “The human nature was praying to the divinity!” We say to them, “Where did Christ tell you that he was human + divinity?”
22:44 So it is strange that people ask about how to worship before a text about it was mentioned. And they believe in the worship of someone who lived on earth for thirty-three years and was exposed to beating, spitting, and humiliation ( according to They claim ) and he forgot to tell them explicitly even about his divinity. And he forgot to tell them how to pray. They ask how Muslims used to pray before Muhammad met his Lord on the Night of Isra and Mi'raj and He commanded him to pray five times a day. And they do not ask themselves where Christ said to them, "I am your Lord, so worship Me." They ask how Muslims used to pray before the verse of ablution was revealed. And they do not ask themselves how their prayer is permissible while they are impure.

These are the minds of Christians and owners of Christian websites.

God Almighty said (( A faction of the People of the Scripture wish they could mislead you, but they mislead not except themselves, and they perceive [it] not. )) Al Imran 69
