Is Christ the only one supported by the Spirit in the Qur’an!?
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
, and with Him we seek help.
, and with Him we seek help.
Some ignorant Christians claim that Jesus, peace be upon him, is the only one supported by the Holy Spirit, as stated in the following verse
: “And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit . So is it that whenever there came to you a messenger with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant? Then some you denied and some you killed.” (87) Al-Baqarah.
But the following verse dispels their dream
: “You will not find a people who believe. ” By Allah and the Last Day, they make friends with those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those - He has inscribed within their hearts faith and supported them with a spirit from Him and will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, to abide therein. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. Those are the party of Allah. Unquestionably, The party of Allah - they are the successful ones (22) Al-Mujadalah
