The response to the reason for repeating the words of the Most Gracious: “Then which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?”

 on of Allah’s saying:

“ Then which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? ”

The favors are the blessings… The question indicates confirmation… and repetition indicates emphasis… The meaning is: Then which of the favors of Allah would you deny? And what a good answer the jinn gave when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this Surah to them! Whenever he passed by this verse, they said in humility and fear: “




And we do not deny any of Your favors, our Lord. To You is praise . ” Imagine the
Prophet reciting and the jinn repeating in humility:

Then their skins and their hearts soften at the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah; He guides thereby whom He wills. And he whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.} Az-Zumar 23 {106} Say, "Believe in it or do not believe." Indeed, those who were given knowledge before it - when it is recited Upon them they fall upon their faces in prostration. {107} And they say, “Glory be to our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled.” {108} And they fall upon their faces weeping, and it increases their humility. {109} This repetition is to emphasize this meaning, to establish it. Repetition is for emphasis, to deter, to revive the meaning in the heart, and to remind people of it. It is a method of the Arabs, and the Qur’an was revealed in the language of the Arabs. Allah revealed this Qur’an in clear Arabic . Not every place where (Then which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?) is repeated is the same as the other place, but it is also for establishment. Every time it is a new address following a new blessing . Allah says to them in it (Then which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? (You both deny your Lord) .. Like what you say to a person: Did I not honor you , so you deny this? Did I not carry you , so you deny this? Did I not feed you, so you deny this? But repeating an entire page twice .. has no justification other than that it is a human error .. .... Here is an invitation to the Christian to carefully examine the Book of Psalms to find this: What do you think of repeating : So let them praise the Lord for his mercy and his wonders to the children of Adam?

Question: The Negus said to the Muslims who had immigrated to Abyssinia after Ja'far ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) had recited to him verses from Surah Maryam: {Indeed, this and that which Jesus brought came forth from a single niche}. What is the significance of what the Negus said? Answer






: Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah and his family and companions. As for what follows: What the Negus meant by this was that the Qur'an and the Gospel were originally one and the same, and the niche originally meant a window that was not a window. The author of Al-Lisan said: In the hadith of the Negus: It comes forth from a single niche... The niche: the window that was not a window, and it was said that it is the iron on which the lamp is hung. He meant that the Qur'an and the Gospel were the words of Allah Almighty and that they were from one thing. End quote. It can be understood from his story that he was a true Christian, and he did not believe in the deviation of the Christians regarding the Messiah (peace be upon him), and therefore he believed what he heard of the truth in the Qur'an, and then he converted to Islam . It is with all flesh according to his gift, and he has given it to those who love him. 11 The fear of the Lord is glory and boasting and joy and a crown of gladness. 12 The fear of the Lord delights the heart, and gives gladness and joy and length of days. 13 To him who fears the Lord 14 The love of the Lord is glorious wisdom. 15 And those to whom she appears will love her when they see her and consider her great works . 16 The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God, for she was born in the womb with the faithful and made her nest among men for all time and will deliver herself to their descendants . 17 The fear of the Lord is the worship of God with knowledge . 18 Worship preserves the heart and justifies it and gives joy and gladness . 19 He who fears the Lord is blessed in soul and finds favor in the day of his death . 20 The perfection of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, for she is intoxicated with her fruits. 21 She fills all her house with desires and her barns with produce. 22 The crown of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, for she brings peace, healing, and health. 23 She has seen wisdom and counted it, and both are the gift of God. 24 Wisdom pours out knowledge and the science of understanding, and exalts the glory of those who possess her. 25 The root of wisdom is the fear of the Lord , and her branches are length of days. 26 Among the treasures of wisdom are understanding and 27 The fear of the Lord casts out sin . 28 The wrath of the wicked cannot be justified, for the weight of his anger overthrows him. 29 He who is patient endures for a season, then his joy returns. 30 The prudent man holds back his words for a season, and the lips of the faithful praise his understanding . 31 Among the treasures of wisdom are examples of knowledge . 32 But to the sinner the worship of God is an abomination . 33 My son, if you desire wisdom, keep the commandments, and the Lord will give them to you. 34 For wisdom and discipline are the fear of the Lord, and that which pleases him is faith and meekness, and he will fill the possessor with treasures . 36










































































Do not disobey the fear of the Lord, and do not approach Him with heart and mind.

37 Do not be a hypocrite in the faces of men, and be careful of your lips.

38 Do not be haughty , lest you fall and bring shame upon yourself.

39 And the Lord will uncover your secrets and will cast you down in the assembly

. 40 Because you did not turn to the fear of the Lord, but your heart is full of deceit.

37 Mark the blameless, and look to the upright, for the end is for a man of peace.

Christians do not say about the "Lord of Christians" that he is: the Most High

, while we find in these texts the name of Allah: the Most High

, and we find it in the Quran:

{Allah - there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they encompass not a thing of His creation.} His knowledge is only of what He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation does not tire Him. And He is the Most High, 
the Most Great.} Al-Baqarah 255

Christians do not use the expression "the Word of God" .. while we find it in these texts: 
((Because they disobeyed the Word of God )) ..
and we find it in the Qur’an: {And if any of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the Word of God, then escort him to where he will be safe. That is because they are a people who do not know.} At-Tawbah 6 ..... Christians do not use the expression "al-Hamd" and replace it with Always with "thank the Lord" .. while we find the word praise in these texts : So let them praise the Lord for His mercy and wonders for the children of Adam and we find praise in the Quran: {35} So to Allah belongs praise, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the worlds. {36} And to Him belongs majesty in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. {37} .... And so my brother, who among you has heard a Christian talk about " worshiping God with knowledge "? Who among you has heard a Christian talk about " piety " and its effect on the soul of the believer and on his behavior? .. And what the heart of the pious finds of pleasure and happiness .. This is not from the words of the Christians that we hear from them .. This is the first time for me to find how the Christians expiate sins through piety ((The fear of the Lord removes sin )) Compare this meaning with the words of Allah the Almighty: {This is the command of Allah which He has sent down to you. And whoever fears Allah - He will remove from him his misdeeds and magnify for him a reward.} At-Talaq 5 Who among you has heard a Christian say about Allah that He is One and has a throne and is great? One is a wise and majestic one sitting on His throne . Compare this meaning with the words of Allah the Almighty: {Allah - there is no god but He, Lord of the Mighty Throne.} An-Naml 26

































Look closely at the phrases and you will find that every phrase carries a meaning that Muslims know well and is often repeated on their tongues...

Al-Najashi summarized all of this explanation: in his expression that what Jesus brought, “and the Christians did not distort it ,” and what Muhammad brought, come from one lamp.

We do not need to take anything from the book of the Christians , at all... And every truth in the book of the Christians - that has not been distorted - cannot contradict the Qur’an... So praise be to Allah who has perfected His religion and completed His favor:

{This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion}

And as I said to the Christian:
We do not take anything from the book of the Christians and we do not believe in a single letter of it... Rather, we believe in what is stated in the Qur’an as a whole... So if

it happens that the book of the Christians agrees with what we believe in , it is because it has an origin that was brought by Moses and Jesus... And we believe in it only because it is stated in the Qur’an.

Repetition in the Holy Qur’an is an undoubted fact, and it is also a truth that is beyond doubt, whether the wisdom behind this repetition is clear to us or not. This is in general. As for the details, we say Repetition in the Qur’an occurs in several ways. There is repetition in a single story, such as the story of Adam, peace be upon him, and there is repetition in a single verse, such as the Almighty’s saying:



Ar-Rahman:16] - [Then which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? ]


However, the repetition in the Holy Quran differs from the repetition in human speech; the latter is considered a stylistic defect, for which the writer is criticized Repetition in the speech of Allah the Almighty is not the usual and blameworthy repetition in human speech, as it is a precise repetition, with functions that it performs in the Quranic text Repetition in the Quran performs two functions The first : a religious function, the purpose of which is to establish and confirm the legal ruling, which came in the Quranic text The second: a literary function, which is represented in confirming the meanings, highlighting them and explaining them in the most appropriate and suitable way To explain the function of repetition in the Quran, we will illustrate this with examples Repetition in the tool; for example, the Almighty said in Surat An-Nahl:













[
An-Nahl: 110] - [Then indeed, your Lord is for those who emigrated after they were persecuted and then strove and were patient - indeed, your Lord, thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful .]

The repetition of the tool { inna } in the verse, the scholars said about it: Because the separation between the tool { inna } and its predicate was long, it was good to repeat the tool { inna } again, so eloquence required repeating it so that the relationship between the two parts of the sentence (the noun and the predicate) could be noticed. If you read the verse without repeating the tool { inna }, you would find the style weak, shaky and confused In accordance with this, the poet said And a man whose covenant has been long on such a person is indeed generous . He repeated the tool { inna } because the separation in the speech between its noun and its predicate was long, and this repetition and iteration is a form of eloquence and clarity - Repetition of the word, an example of which is the Almighty’s saying:









An-Naml:5] - [Those are the ones for whom there is an evil punishment, and they, in the Hereafter, will be the greatest losers .]

In the noble verse, the word { they } is repeated, and it is a separate subject pronoun. It was brought to confirm the relationship between the two parties, who will have the worst punishment, and the greatest losers. And from this is the Almighty’s saying:


[
Ar-Ra'd:5] - [And if you wonder, then wonder is their statement: “When we are dust, will we then be in a new creation?” Those are the ones who disbelieved in their Lord, and those are the ones whose necks will be shackled, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally .]

The noble verse repeated the word { those } three times, and this repetition has a great function, the gist of which is that its occurrence in the first place was intended to inform about the situation of those who deny the resurrection, and that they disbelieved in their Lord with this denial; and its occurrence in the second place is to explain their condition, and that the shackles are on their necks; as for its occurrence in the third place, it is to explain their end and fate to which they have come, which is eternal and humiliating torment If you had omitted this word in one of the three places, the meaning would have been weak, the style would have been disturbed, and it would have been contrary to good taste. Therefore, it was good to repeat it in this place, to clarify the meaning, and to emphasize the relationship between the three places - Repetition of a single Qur’anic verse, we will stop at three surahs for this repetition . - In Surat Al-Qamar, the Almighty’s saying is repeated in it:

Al-Qamar: 16] - [How then was My punishment and My warnings? ]

In this Surah, Allah tells us the stories of the people of Noah, Aad, Thamud, and Lot. Each of these stories contains fear and warnings about what happened to those peoples. The situation and the condition called for this repetition, as a sermon for the people of the Qur’an, and a warning to those who turn away from it from persisting in their error and turning away, and that their end, if they continue as they are, will be the end of those peoples whose stories and fate the Qur’an tells us In Surah Ar-Rahman, Allah the Almighty repeats the following:

Ar-Rahman:13] - [Then which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? ]

The context of this Surah was to enumerate the wonders of God’s creation, the wonders of His creation, the beginning of creation and the afterlife, the mention of Hell and its hardships, and the description of Paradise and its delights. All of this necessitated this repetition of the noble verse, as a reminder of God’s blessings and an urging to thank Him - In Surah Al-Mursalat, there is a repetition of the Almighty’s saying:

Al-Mursalat: 15] - [Woe, that Day, to the deniers .]

Because every repetition mentioned after a verse other than the first verse, is not a reprehensible repetition; rather, if this repetition of the verse was not for the threat, some would have been threatened and not others On this basis, the reason for the repetition mentioned in the surahs of the Holy Quran can be understood . - As for the repetition of the Quranic stories, it cannot be properly understood unless the purpose of the Quranic stories is known, and then the characteristics of these stories are known, and thus the wisdom of this repetition becomes clear to us. In short, since one of the purposes of the story in the Quran is to prove the unity of God, the unity of religion, the unity of the messengers, the unity of the methods of calling, and the unity of the fate that the deniers will meet, Quranic logic called for this repetition to achieve those purposes, and to establish them in the hearts of the believers, and to warn the obstinate against the consequences of turning away from them Since the purpose of the Qur’anic stories is primarily religious, it is necessary to present the episodes that these purposes require. The last episode to be presented is consistent with the most obvious religious purpose for which the story was formulated, according to the arrangement of the chapters of the Holy Qur’an . For example, the story of Moses, peace be upon him, was first mentioned in Surat Al-Baqarah, and its subject was the slaughter of the cow and the severity of the Children of Israel on themselves, so God was severe on them Then it was mentioned in Surat Al-Ma’idah, which presents the episode of the wandering. These Children of Israel were showered with God’s blessings, but in the end they did not preserve this blessing, nor did they enter the Holy Land. Moses, peace be upon him, did his best to bring them back to it. So, their punishment for this situation was to leave them in the wilderness with no guide or helper until the appointed time came This religious purpose of the stories is a noticeable and intended purpose in the rest of the Qur’anic stories, such as the story of Adam, the story of Abraham, and the stories of the rest of the prophets, upon our Prophet and them be blessings and peace. This is in addition to the fact that this religious goal is accompanied by realistic correspondence to the events of the story, and artistic harmony in its repeated and multiple contexts We also point out that some Quranic stories come only once, such as the story of Luqman and the story of the People of the Cave; and some come repeatedly according to what the need calls for and what the interest requires, and this repetition is not in one way, but rather varies in length and brevity, softness and severity, and mentioning some aspects of the story in one place and not another Among the wisdoms in this repetition are: 1- To clarify the importance of that story, because its repetition indicates care for it and its emphasis; to establish it in people's hearts 2- To take into account the time and the state of those addressed by it, and for this reason we find brevity and severity often in the stories that came in the Meccan surahs, and the opposite in what came in the Medinan surahs 3- To demonstrate the truth of the Holy Quran , and that it is from God Almighty, as these stories come despite their repetition in the most perfect manner, and the best compatibility, without contradiction in the content, or conflict in the narration of the narrative event. http://www.islamweb.net/media/index....ang=A&id=68495
