Does God allow taking captives and right hand possessions

 A Christian asks: Does God allow taking female captives and the right hand of the owner?

Answer:

Yes, and if you wish, read the words of the Lord in the Book of Deuteronomy [20:10]:

((When you go to war against your enemies, and the Lord your God gives you victory over them, and you take some of them captive, 11 and one of you sees among the captives a beautiful woman, and he falls in love with her and marries her, 12 and when he brings her into his house, he shall let her shave her head and trim her nails, 13 and then he shall take off his clothes And he shall take her away from her, and leave her in his house for a month, and she shall mourn for her father and mother; and after that he shall live with her, and she shall be his wife. 14But if she after that does not please him, then he shall let her go where she pleases. He shall not sell her for silver or make her a slave, for he has humbled her. ((

This is another text in which the Lord commands the warriors to enjoy the women who were taken as spoils in war:

((But the women and the children And the cattle, and all the spoils that are in the city, you may take as plunder for yourselves, and enjoy the spoil of your enemies which the Lord your God has given you.” [Deuteronomy 20:14]

And this is the Prophet of God, David, peace be upon him, about whom the Book says: “And David also took concubines and wives from Jerusalem after he came from Hebron, and there were also sons and daughters born to David. )) [2 Samuel 5:13]

Sometimes we find that God makes captivity a punishment for unbelief and polytheism as stated in [Jeremiah 22:22]: ((The wind will blow away all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. Then shame and disgrace will come upon you because of all your polytheism)) See Amos [7:17] and [5:5]. And

God is the Grantor of success.
I find this a suitable opportunity to shed light on the greatness of Islam and to show that Islam is the only religion that urges the liberation of slaves. We also challenge that there is even any constitution established in countries that boast of freedom, democracy and human rights, and for hundreds of years after the revelation of the Holy Quran, that has contained anything similar to what follows in the many verses that call for the liberation of slaves. It is certain that at least 12 centuries have passed between the Quran and the closest human constitution that deals with this issue. As for Judaism and Christianity, there is nothing similar in them, and whoever has knowledge of anything else, let him show it to us.

And here are the following verses that speak for themselves:

Surat Al-Baqarah
: Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah and the Last Day and the angels and the Book and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for Him, to relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler and those who ask and for the freeing of slaves and establishes prayer and gives zakah and those who fulfill their obligations. {177}

]Surat Al-Ma'idah
} Allah will not impose blame upon you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He will impose blame upon you for your deliberate oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy persons from the average of what you feed your families, or clothing them. [ mark=66FFFF]Or the freeing of a slave. [/mark]But whoever cannot find [the means], then a fast of three days. That is the expiation for your oaths when you have sworn. And guard your oaths. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be grateful. {89
Surah At-Tawbah
Alms are only for the poor and the needy and those employed to collect [these verses] and those whose hearts are to be reconciled [mark=66FFFF]and for freeing slaves [/mark] and for those in debt and for The way of Allah and the wayfarer is an obligation imposed by Allah. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. (60)
Surah An-Nisa
{And it is not for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. And whoever kills a believer by mistake - then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment made to the deceased’s family, unless they give up. But if he was from a people hostile to you while he was a believer - then the freeing of a believing slave. And if he was from a people hostile to you while he was a believer - then the freeing of a believing slave. He was from a people between whom and you there was a treaty. A ransom should be given to his family and the freeing of a believing slave. But whoever cannot find [one] - then a fast of two consecutive months, as repentance from Allah. And ever is Allah Knowing and Wise. {An-Nisaa’ 92
Surah Al-Balad.
{ And he did not attempt the steep path.} {11} And what can make you know what is the steep path? {12} [mark=66FFFF]The freeing of a slave. {13}
Surah Al-Mujadilah
And those who swear off their wives and then go back on what they said, [mark=66FFFF]the freeing of a slave[/mark]before they touch each other. That is what you are admonished to do, and Allah is Acquainted with what you do.} Al-Mujadila 3

Surat An-Nur
And let those who do not find the wherewithal for marriage abstain until Allah enriches them from His bounty. [mark=66FFFF]And those who seek a contract from among those whom your right hands possess, then make a contract with them. [/mark]If you know any good in them, then give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, seeking the goods of worldly life. And whoever compels them - then indeed, Allah, after their compulsion, is Forgiving and Merciful. {33}
And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought, and it will be judged between them with truth, and they will not be wronged. {69} And every soul will be fully compensated for what it did, and He is most knowing of what they do.
